Dr Ranj Singh discusses his mental health on Morning Live
Last week, Doctor Ranj Singh claimed he was managed out of ITV after raising concerns to bosses in a high position.
The 43-year-old used to be a regular feature on This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby but left the broadcaster over a year ago.
In a statement following Phillip’s exit as the show’s main presenter, Doctor Ranj slammed the ITV show as he stated the culture had become toxic.
After 10 years on the programme, he grew concerned with how people were being treated behind the scenes and decided to voice his issues.
However, the doctor highlighted that once he had a chat with an editor at This Morning, he was used less frequently on the show.

Since making his strong claims, the 43-year-old has kept off of TV screens until Wednesday when he was featured on BBC One’s Morning Live to speak about his own mental health struggles.
Touching on how he was having problems growing up, the conversation quickly turned to the current situation.
Host Gethin commented: “Ranj, as your friends and colleagues, we know you’re having a particularly tough week this week.
“We’re not going to go into the specifics of that.”
Letting out a large sigh, Ranj agreed as he replied: “Yeah…”
Gethin continued: “It has impacted your mental health, that’s absolutely fair to say.”

The doctor nodded in agreement to Gethin’s claims, confirming the current situation has affected him mentally.
Gethin went on: “Whether it is family, whether it is work, whether it is general life, anything really, what are the coping mechanisms?”
After reeling off various different ways that help him get through tough times mentally, Ranj added: “Also, leaning on people around me, you know, (that’s) what it comes down to.
“It’s not just leaning on them, showing kindness to others really helps me feel better.”
However, since Ranj’s claims that This Morning was a toxic place to work, Phillip has defended his former employer in an Instagram statement.
