EastEnders: Lola dies
Ben Mitchell (played by Max Bowden) promised Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown) he would be a better father to her after her mother Lola’s Pearce’s (Danielle Harold) tragic death in EastEnders.
However, it seems he will let her down once again in upcoming episodes.
His refusal to acknowledge or tell anyone about his eating disorder means everyone assumes Ben is simply being selfish, but they are unaware of what he is going through.
In scenes of the BBC soap yet to air, Ben’s illness causes him to abandon Lexi.
The family are furious and Ben starts to believe he won’t be able to be a good dad to his daughter.
In upcoming scenes, Ben and Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) try to tempt a withdrawn Lexi out for lunch.
When the schoolgirl tells them she wants to speak at Lola’s funeral, Ben forbids it, fearing it’ll be too much for her.
Lexi is furious, and Ben breaks down in the face of her anger until Jay steps in to make peace.
They agree to talk it over at lunch, and Ben reveals he’s decorated Lexi’s bedroom, so it’s now ready for her to move in.
