Earlier this year, Toby spoke about the downfall of his evil EastEnders character Gray Atkins.

Toby, 32, revealed that he agreed with the way in which the story has panned out for the murdering character.

He told Digital Spy: "I think all of the audience have obviously wanted justice for Chantelle, Tina and Kush for so long and it was important that we showed that justice and that comeuppance.

"There was no room for him to have an easy way out and it would have been wrong if they'd have done that. I do think, from the audience's perspective, it's a satisfying ending to the storyline."

Toby and Amy recently welcomed their child together and the actor said he is too caught up in parenthood to even think about his career.

Talking about his next steps, Toby said: "Changing nappies, fixing breast pumps. If I stand up, I just rock from side to side – that's my go-to now, 24-7.

"There's potentially some things in the pipeline but right now I am very happy to be a full-time daddy for as long as I can be."

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One at 7.30pm
