The actor, who has starred as Vinny Panesar on the BBC soap since 2019, has teased an explosive week for the Panesar family as Vinny continues vying for his father's approval.

Opening up on how Vinny feels in that moment, Shiv said: "Absolutely rock bottom. He desperately wants to prove to his dad that he is capable and that he is responsible to look after the business.
"But his dad shuns him away and he feels belittled and heartbroken."
Plotting to escape Walford with Eve, Suki packs her case before having an emotional chat with Vinny, who is unaware she’s really saying goodbye.
Shiv described their conversation as "a really beautiful moment", adding: "He really loves his mum and he knows they’ll always be connected, and it feels reciprocated in this moment.
"You get the sense here that she really has his back and that he’ll always have a sense of belonging with her.”
Just as Suki is about to leave, she’s horrified when Nish returns and accuses Vinny of reporting him to the police.
The 29-year-old confirmed that an incident then takes place in the Panesar household which leaves Vinny questioning everything.
“There’s an incident in the house and Vinny is unsure of the truth behind it, so he has to make a decision," Shiv explained.
"Is his dad all he cracks up to be? Is his mum at risk? Vinny’s illusion that they’re a happy family perhaps isn’t true.”
Shiv revealed he emailed Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw after receiving the scripts, admitting he was "mega excited" to tackle the story.
“Oh my god! I remember I actually emailed Chris Clenshaw and said 'these are unreal!'" he exclaimed.
The BBC star added: "I think I was on a bit of a high because there was just so much drama within this story.
"It was a mega excitement to have a play with the script. I was quite nervous in terms of the storytelling but I was also so excited to get started and unpick the scripts."
