Emeli Sande reveals Loose Women star is the secret to the success of her brand new album | The Sun

EMELI Sande is back with a new album and has a secret weapon  to make it a success — Dame Kelly Holmes.

The singing star has formed an unlikely friendship with the two-time Olympic gold medal winner and has revealed she is mentoring her to be the best artist she can be.

Today Emeli is back with her new single There For You, which will feature on her fifth album How Were We To Know, due out on November 17.

In an exclusive chat, Emeli said: “I met her last year at London Pride and she’s fantastic.

“It’s been really inspiring knowing her and having mentorship from her of how to go for gold.

“I’m so focused on the music and sometimes with a creative mind, I can be a bit chaotic, whereas she has that background of discipline and she does so much motivational speaking.

Her new record comes just a year after her last, having been hyper productive in lockdown.

She explained: “I really threw myself into making lots of music, which I hadn’t had time to do before because I was always touring or working.
