Emmerdale double exit leaves villager devastated as family is ripped apart

In the latest instalment of Emmerdale, Chloe Harris (played by Jessie Elland) revealed to her sister Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) she had contacted her friend in France to see if she could stay there.

The new mum decided she wanted to start a new life in Paris with son Reuben after Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) told her he was still in love with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).

As a result, Chloe has been left heartbroken and is desperate to make Mack pay for his betrayal.

After overhearing Mack on the baby monitor telling Reuben how much he loves him and won't ever leave him, Chloe decided to rip out her ex's heart by taking his child away.

As Chloe plotted her revenge, Charity and Mack enjoyed a tender moment, happy everything is seemingly working out for them.

Not far away, Chloe packed her bags and booked her tickets, ready to flee the village.

Official soap spoilers have revealed Sarah Sugden will spot Chloe's bags and alerts Mack and Moira.

The pair will quickly realise Chloe plans to leave and rush off to stop her.

Unfortunately, they miss her and Mack becomes desperate next week when he spends the night searching for his son.

Amy fears she will never see her sister again as Mack begs her to reveal what she knows.

Mack becomes low and Charity is resolute they will get his son back and he should try to stay on Amy’s good side in case Chloe makes contact.

Will Amy give in and confess to Mack that Chloe is in Paris giving him the chance to reunite with his son again?

Explaining why Chloe heads to France, actress Jessie revealed: "She is just trying to get as far away as possible, and she has an old school friend there that can help her get settled.

"She wants to be somewhere that Mackenzie can’t access easily, partly out of revenge, to make him suffer by not seeing Ruben, but partly to preserve her own feelings and try to reduce the chances of her getting hurt again."

On how Chloe will feel going forward, she added: "I think it will make her build her walls even higher, all she has now is Ruben and Amy, and she is so used to being deserted and lied to that she will find it very hard to trust again."

If she does return to the village, Chloe will "really struggle to be amicable with Mackenzie or Charity".

Fans will have to wait and see if Mack can catch up with Chloe and if she will agree to return to Emmerdale.
