Emmerdale: Sam Dingle gets impaled by a tractor

In official spoilers released by Emmerdale, Lydia Dingle (played by Karen Blick) gets a blast from the past – which could lead to heartbreak for Sam (James Hooton)

In upcoming scenes in the ITV soap, after struggling for money, newcomer Craig (Ben Addis) offers Lydia a job, which the Dingle favourite happily accepts.

At the Hide Craig reconnects with Lydia where he follows through with his job offer.

The pair are soon filling each other in on their lives since both of them were at the children’s home together.

Lydia and Craig soon fall back into their easy rapport, and Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) is in awe of Craig’s car as he drops Lydia back home.

Samson grills Lydia about Craig and is overawed by his wealth whilst Sam is somewhat intimated.

Samson’s impressed to learn Craig’s company made one of his favourite phone games and asks Lydia to get him some work experience.

At the company offices, Lydia asks Craig about Samson’s work experience, although, things become awkward and he leaves.

Keen not to overpromise and underdeliver, Craig later returns confirming Samson’s work experience.

Samson is delighted by the offer, but his dad Sam seems less than impressed.

Before long, Lydia introduces Craig to an awe-struck Samson and he soon makes himself at home.

Craig and Samson head to fix the guttering Sam had neglected to finish, which leaves the soap stalwart feeling pushed out by Craig.

Will Lydia end up betraying Sam after seeing what Craig has to offer her?

Could the betrayal push Sam over the edge leading him to leave the village and his home?

In recent scenes, Lydia started to feel nostalgic after Sam found an old doll’s house in a skip.

The children’s toy, which Sam had salvaged for baby Esther, reminded Lydia of her time at the children’s home.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
