Emmerdale fans spot major blunder in Caleb revenge plot as Kim downfall looms

Emmerdale fans picked up on an editing blunder as Caleb Milligan hacked into Kim Tate's (Claire King) computer.

Viewers saw Caleb, played by Will Ash, successfully install spyware on the businesswoman's laptop, allowing him to get hold of the password for her bank account in the next stage of his scheme.

During Monday's episode of the ITV soap (May 22), Kim typed in her password to access her account, blissfully unaware that a vengeful Caleb was watching and writing it down.

But fans were confused as Kim's password wasn't asterisked like it normally would be.

Heading to social media to debate the matter, one person wrote: "Aren't passwords normally asterisks or dots??#Emmerdale"

"Surely the password show up as dots and not as words," added a second viewer.

A third fan chimed in: "Surely the password would come up starred out unless you clicked show password #emmerdale," as another agreed: "That's what I thought!"

While someone else shared: "Kim doesn't have her password hidden. Poor show, Kim."

Elsewhere in the episode, Caleb pushed Nicky (Lewis Cope) to bring his wedding to Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) forward in order to speed up getting their hands on Kim's fortune.

Trying to make the most of Thomas being asleep, Gabby tried to get physically intimate with her husband-to-be, but he rejected her advances once again.

Sharing why he wanted to bring the wedding forward, Nicky lied and said his "dad" – who Gabby believes she has never met – is suffering with prostate cancer and wanted to make sure he was there for their big day.

But Nicky is starting to get cold feet as he truly loves Ally, despite reluctantly calling off their romance last week.

Fans now suspect Ally could play a role in bringing Caleb down and shared their theories online.

"My Big twist ( hear me out ) Ally is working for Kim and is stringing Nicky and Caleb along? Kim isn't as stupid as she names out. Remember that scene outside Frank's grave."

A second fan added: "Imagine if Ally was the dark horse working for Kim and stringing Nicky along?"
