Luke admitted that the fight quickly escalated, with Lee falling and smacking his head shortly before the attack by Robert Sugden, who is in prison for killing Lee.
Wendy was horrified and met up with Ethan to ask whether Robert’s sentence would’ve been reduced if the court knew about Luke and Lee’s fight.
Next week, Luke wakes up hungover on Wendy’s sofa and despairs as the previous evening and his confession to Vic comes flooding back to him.
Wendy orders Luke to tell Vic the whole story about his fight with Lee and, when he fails, she reveals the truth to Vic.
How will Vic react?
Susan Cookson – who plays Wendy in the ITV soap – spoke about Wendy’s reaction to Luke’s shock confession.
"After everything that happened with her son Lee, she's desperate to get things right with Luke, and also make sure the decisions are right for everyone involved," the actress told Inside Soap.
“Wendy sees a side to Luke that is a bit of a shock. Basically, he tells his mum that if she doesn't keep quiet, she will lose another son – and more than that, she could lose access to her grandson.
"That's hard, but Wendy still feels as though she has to do the right thing. She can't live her life based on threats," she added.
