Emmerdale: Matthew Wolfenden addresses Charley’s return
Former Emmerdale star Charley Webb looks very different from how ITV fans are used to seeing her as Debbie Dingle.
The 35-year-old shared a behind-the-scenes snap as she prepared to get into character for a new role.
In July this year, Charley shared the news to her followers that she’d be joining the cast of the stage play Quiz, which is a dramatised production of the Who Wants to be a Millionaire? 2001 game show scandal.
Playing Diana Ingram, the wife of Charles Ingram who was accused of cheating in the quiz show, Charley has been giving people a sneak peek of what they can expect to see before the play starts tomorrow.
Posing in front of a mirror, the actress sported a wig cap ready to transform into Diana, whilst wearing a skintight black crop top.

Displaying her toned abs, the actress paired the look with black jogging bottoms and some simple necklaces before getting into character.
She captioned the snap: “Wig cap and trackies for the foreseeable. It’s a look.”
However, this isn’t the only acting role fans will see Charley take on as she announced she’ll be back on screens later this month.
Starring in the new ITV drama The Long Shadow, viewers will the 35-year-old as PC Anna Lawson.

The seven-part series explores the crimes of Peter Sutcliffe and is set to air at the end of September.
It’s believed this will be Charley’s first on-screen role since her Emmerdale exit in 2021.
Leaving the ITV soap on maternity leave, she later stated there were no plans to return and it looks as though her husband Matthew Wolfenden is following suit.
Known as David Metcalfe, fans are expected to say goodbye to the character of 17 years later this year.
Speaking on This Morning earlier this month about his departure, he said: “You know what, I met my wife on the show and we’ve had three kids.
“Not only has it given me 18 years of an amazing job, it’s given me a family. So to leave it, it’s been a big big part of my life.”
“The door is left open, they’re not killing me off I’ve been promised. I’m allowed to tell you that.
“So, who knows, I might be back but we’ll see.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
