ESCAPE to the Chateau's Dick Strawbridge was forced to ask a guest to leave the property after they 'overstepped the mark'.
Dick, 61, and wife Angel, 43, have been renovating their 45-room chateau in the Pays de la Loire region of France on the Channel 4 programme for the last few years.
Their home is also a wedding venue and open to guests, however some do not respect the boundaries laid out by the couple.
The couple recently revealed they had to ask a guest to leave their private area after "overstepping the mark".
Angel said: "Firstly, there is an issue of safety – if the kids are outside playing, no one would want strangers coming on to their land.
"When that has happened, Dick has politely asked them to leave.
"THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE"
"We have never been horrible to anyone who has turned up here, but if somebody is in your house they have to behave."
Dick added: "And walking down the steps into our entrance hall, that is not acceptable, I am afraid."
The couple has two children, Arthur Donald, eight, and Dorothy Francis, seven, and Angel previously opened up about how protective Dick is of his family.
She said: "If you asked every single person on our team, they would all say that Dick is completely chivalrous.
"He will always be that person opening doors, helping people, and if anyone upsets me, he will be the first person to take control of the situation. He is very protective."
Dick added: "I am 61 years of age and at no time in my life, in my military career and in my other careers, [have I ever] accepted behaviour that doesn’t meet my standards and my values.
"How you behave is what makes you who you are."
Escape to the Chateau airs on Channel 4 and is available on All4.
