Eternals introduced fans to a new group of cosmic superbeings, all of which had been on Earth for over 7000 years. Protecting humans from the Deviants, they were forbidden from engaging in human conflict unless their nemeses were involved. It put them in a difficult position when Thanos snapped his fingers and wiped out half of all sentient life in the universe. According to Doctor Strange, this was the only way to ensure ultimate victory against the self-proclaimed god, stating out of 14,000,605 possible futures, we only win one. Yet, there is plenty of evidence that proves this to be incorrect and Eternals is the last piece in the puzzle.
