Dancing on Ice: Phil Schofield reveals how long show will run

Dancing on Ice viewers saw six more celebrities tackle the ice for their first performances in their pairings, after giving a taster of their ability in a group routine last weekend. But tonight, it was former Coronation Street star Faye Brookes who shone out above the rest, after being awarded 31.5 points after their debut skate – which left the actress in tears after a string of positive comments. 

Faye and partner Hamish Gaban were the final duo to skate this evening but they soon proved they had left the best till last. 

Performing an emotive routine to Taylor Swift’s hit Lover, the pair impressed the panel and viewers alike. 

And for their efforts, they were awarded huge scores from the judges and ended up top of the leaderboard. 

But after being blown away by the comments from the panel, Faye became emotional and was seen wiping away tears.

Fans soon commented on the “beautiful” skate after Faye had been given her scores. 

One shared on Twitter: “Oh wow, how natural, elegant and beautiful did @Faye_Brookes look in that skate #DancingOnIce.

“What an unbelievable first week skate for @Faye_Brookes the girl is amazing @dancingonice #DancingOnIce,” wrote another. 

A third agreed: “Loved that performance by Faye and Hamish. That was really beautiful  #DancingOnIce.”
