Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) is left completely gobsmacked when ex-husband and serial killer John Stape makes an appearance in a new Coronation Street spoiler video.

Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) is clearly triumphant as he manages to fix Hope’s (Isabella Flannagan) tape; a task which anyone born after 1995 will have no idea about.

As he gives it a test run in the cassette player (again, kids, look it up), he is left confused by what he is hearing.

Fiz, however, is quick to catch on, and she is clearly horrified by the voice on the tape.

It is, of course, none other than John Stape, the man who terrorised the residents of Coronation Street with his violent tendencies, and by that we mean murders.

Horrified Fiz begs an oblivious Tyrone to turn off the tape, and we can’t blame her. Nobody wants a lecture on Little Women, especially not from a serial killer ex.

Unbeknown to Fiz and Tyrone, Hope has been listening to the tape in order to try to get to know her dad better.

Knowing now what’s on the tape, will they let her have it back?
