Friends star Jennifer Aniston praises Mariah Carey's hairstyle after the singer shares 'sad attempt' at 'Rachel hairdo'

FRIENDS star Jennifer Aniston praised Mariah Carey's past hairstyle.

The Always Be My Baby singer recently shared a throwback photo of her "sad attempt" at the "Rachel hairdo."

Mariah took to Instagram on Friday to share an old photo of herself onstage.

In the snap, the singer donned side bangs and her hair had noticeable volume.

She also wore a black dress with a large white stripe across the front, while she pulled the look together with a black headband.

The 51-year-old captioned the snap: "#FBF A sad attempt at the Rachel hairdo #friends."

While Mariah is no longer impressed with the hairstyle, Friends star Jennifer took to the comments section to praise the singer.

Alongside a fire emoji, Jennifer wrote: "LOVE IT."

Jennifer, 52, is responsible for making the hairstyle a popular trend in the '90s, which her Friends character Rachel Green introduced to viewers.

The actress shot to fame while starring on the sitcom, which aired on NBC from 1994-2014.

Mariah shared the throwback photo just one day after the Friends reunion debuted on HBO Max.

The reunion brought original stars Jennifer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer back together as they reminisced on the show.

During the special, Jennifer and David- who played love interests Rachel and Ross Geller on the show- admitted they had feelings for each other behind the scenes.

James Corden, who hosted the special, asked the group: "Will you allow me to ask what I would consider to be a cheeky question?

“It's impossible not to realize and see that you're all young, hot, good looking successful actors, that it's inconceivable to me that there weren't perhaps off-screen romances.”

While awkward, Jennifer coughed stating: “Well.. I mean, David?”

“The first season, I had a major crush on Jen,” David admitted, with Jennifer agreeing the feelings were reciprocated.

He continued: “At some point we were both crushing hard on each other but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship.

“So, and we never crossed that boundary, you know we respected that.”

Jennifer added: “I remember saying one time to David, ‘It's gonna be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television.'

“Sure enough, first time we kissed was in that coffee shop. So we just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.”
