THEY may have millions of adoring fans and finely tuned public images now, but thanks to the internet A-list celebrities can never fully escape the good, bad and the ugly parts of their high school days.
Former classmates of famous folk including Ariana Grande, Emily Ratjakowski, Patrick Swayze and Sandra Bullock have taken to Reddit to reveal what they were REALLY like during those difficult teen years, and according to the Mail Online, some were already cultivating huge egos, while others weren’t far from their current squeaky clean images.
Ariana Grande has earned a reputation of being a bit of a diva, and according to some Reddit users she wasn’t the easiest to get along with in school.
One wrote that she hung around with “snobby entitled rich girls” and another added she was a “b***h like she is now.”
A third person posted that she allegedly “bullied” someone: “Currently go to the same high school Ariana Grande graduated from. I know a lot of people who were in classes with her, and my sister was in the grade above her. One of my friends said she was a real obnoxious b***h, and apparently bullied some other kid on the bus.”
Meanwhile model Emily Ratajkowski was a far cry from the nude selfie loving stunner we see today and apparently had a “tough time making friends.”
One Redditer revealed: “We shared a bunk bed and dorm room. She was nice, a great artist, kind of valley girl-ish, but pretty down to earth actually, very pretty girl.
“She actually had kind of a tough time making friends within the program, like she wasn't interested in doing so.
“Totally weird now that she's a big model and sex icon.”
Late actor Patrick Swayze was labelled a “flirt” who “could be obnoxious by someone whose mother knew him.
“My mom knew Patrick Swayze,” they wrote.
“He ended up marrying one of her good friends growing up. She liked him well enough, always had an ego though. His mom ran a dance school, which is how he met his wife.
“I guess he knew he was good and was always a flirt and could be obnoxious. But wasn't necessarily a bad person if you asked her.”
Actress Sandra Bullock may have a wholesome image now, but one post reveals she treated her classmates badly as a teen.
“'Apparently she was a total b***h,” they wrote. “Treated everyone as if they were second class citizens not worthy to lick her shoe.”
Her Practical Magic co-star Nicole Kidman got far better reviews, with a former classmate writing: “She was not in my group but there was a lot of cross over.
“She was really smart and was semi-famous even before she left school but was ordinary in many ways. It's great she has found international success.”
