The One Show viewers were left distracted by a Hollywood guests’ very unusual hairstyle, comparing it to a “pair of antlers.”

As actress Gabrielle union joined Alex Jones and Ronan Keating on the sofa with her Strange World co-star Jake Gyllenhaal to discuss their new movie, viewers were stumped by the star’s hair, which was braided into a pretzel shape and hung high over her head.

“state of her hair what the heck is that!” said one viewer.

A second penned: “Why has she got pretzels on her head? It’s very distracting.”

Another asked: “I wonder what she asked for at the hairdressers,” with someone responding: “antlers.”

The pair had dashed over to the studio straight from the premiere of the animated movie, with photos showing Gabrielle, 50, looking sensational in a black and white floor-length gown.

The actress beamed her Hollywood smile for the cameras as she posed up a storm alongside her co-star Jake, 41, at the Cineworld in London's Leicester Square earlier this evening.

Also joining them on the sofa tonight were comedy duo David Baddiel and Frank Skinner, who were promoting the new revamp of their classic football hit, Three Lions.

The pair are once again reuniting with The Lightning Seeds singer Ian Broudie to re-fashion the 1996 hit, but this time as a Christmas song, Three Lions On A Sleigh.

The track will pay tribute to the England Lionesses winning Euro 2022 – as well as coinciding with the men’s bid to take the World Cup in Qatar.

David said: “Me and Frank said, ‘Let’s rewrite it with some Christmassy lyrics and some comedy’. And we thought we’d write about the Lionesses winning, update it a bit.

“It was basically the first video we ever shot in 1996 – it’s a version of that, but with us much, much older.”

It comes despite Baddiel stating after the Lionesses' Euros win in the summer that the track could be retired, telling BBC Radio: “You know, I’m very happy to think that the song would be, in a way, put to bed.”

The One Show also wrapped up its heartwarming Surprise Squad segment.

Made up of five inspirational young people who have benefitted from BBC Children in Need funding, the Surprise Squad members are seen lending a hand as part of a series of challenges to give back to others being supported by BBC Children in Need.
