LARRY Lamb has made some slightly unconventional living choices over the last few years – including living with several ex partners.

The Gavin and Stacey star, who said he has had seven life partners, joked that seven was "too many".

However, not all of those loves crashed and burned, so much so that he moved in with his ex-wife during lockdown.

"I'd gone to France straight away," he told Jessie and Lennie Ware on their Table Manners podcast.

"Then I thought 'oh gosh I am going to be stuck here'. I thought I am going to go back to the UK and go back to Linda's."

Irish singer Linda Martin was Larry's third wife and they divorced in 1996.

They share their son George Lamb, who also joined Larry, 75, on the podcast.

Explaining why Linda's house was the perfect lockdown escape, he said: "It is rural, middle of nowhere. There was a great big caravan at the end of the property so I thought I’d go and live there."

George jumped in, joking: "She was ringing me every day saying: 'I need to get this guy out of here'."

Linda wasn't the only ex partner that Larry bunked with, he now lives with another former flame.

"He is currently living with ex partner. And her sister. And my younger sister," George explained.

"So he is basically in a place where there is loads of women. Not my mum," he added.

Appearing to be referencing the women's menstural cycles syncing up, George continued: "And they are all having… there is a bit of a war going on at the moment in the house.

"Which is why he thinks women fight."

"Women do fight a lot. But they get over it. In the end you get over it," Larry interjected.

Speaking about the relationships he has with his exes, Larry said: "Fortunately, there are three of them I have retained a really nice relationship with.

"The problem is, whether you like it or not, once you have children with somebody else – you are connected for life.

"Until the moment you die you are connected."

"The best thing to do is get yourself a great big white flag, put it up and live in a state of truce.  

"Otherwise you drag your kids into war for the rest of their lives and it is not fair."

George has left his presenting days behind him and has taken a step into the world of farming.

The 43-year-old explained that Britain's biodiversity has plummeted and our soil is becoming unable to support life.

George’s company Wildfarmed is situated on a 300 acre HQ in Wiltshire and works to promote regenerative agriculture by natural means – made up of a network of 35 farms in the UK and 7 in France.

He explained: “The rule is that what happens in nature you should try to replicate, and you don’t see mono-cropping in nature, so why try to do it in a field and regulate it with chemicals?”

George described that his company thrives with the support of like-minded farmers, stating to The Times: “We support them through the process and then give them a premium price for their grain, which we turn into flour,”

Talking of leaving television behind, he explained: “You come out of school and you chase what you think success looks like and it’s all pretty standard stuff: you want a nice house, to have money in the bank.

“I fell into being a TV presenter and it just snowballed.

"If you follow the money, which is what I was doing, you end up in light entertainment, and that’s all very nice but it wasn’t making my heart sing. 

“I felt really empty. So I decided to change my life.”
