George Clarke open-mouthed as Flipping Fast contestant breaks down in tears | The Sun

GEORGE Clarke was left open-mouthed after a Flipping Fast contestant broke down in tears.

The Channel 4 show sees six people from across the UK compete to see who can make the most profit from property developing over the course of 12 months.

The contestants are given £100,000 to get started and they can buy and sell as many homes as they want during that year.

While everyone gets to keep their profits, the winner who makes the biggest profits gets a cash prize of the full £100K investment.

In the third installment of the show, mum-of-three Zoe bought a two-bedroom house in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

She managed to get £6,000 knocked off the asking price and secured it for £74,000.

Despite living miles away in Crawley, West Sussex, Zoe managed to get a network of tradespeople to help her transform the property, but the day before the estate agents were due to take pictures, disaster struck.

Zoe had driven up to the house to discover a water pipe had leaked, leaving water all over the floor.

The usually upbeat contestant couldn't help but cry at the cruel twist of fate, and she admitted: “I’m not close enough for things like this to go wrong, especially a week before the house is meant to go on the market.

“Ultimately, it’s just too far from home. It takes me half the day to get up here and it’s exhausting.”

When it came to seeing George and the other contestants, Zoe delivered a shock when he asked how she had got on.

She said: “You won’t believe the week that I’ve had. I’ve had the worst week from hell. I had a burst water pipe…”

George asked: “You haven’t sold your house?”

Zoe replied: “I haven’t sold, George," leaving the host open-mouthed and speechless for a moment.

However Zoe was confident she would make a profit when it does eventually sell and added: "Hopefully it will line me up for a major comeback."
