Georgia Harrison shares ‘biggest hurdle’ ahead of ITV2 revenge tape documentary

Georgia Harrison has revealed her "biggest hurdle" ahead of her new documentary exploring revenge porn.

Her ex Stephen Bear, 33, was jailed for 21 months on March 3 for sharing a video on OnlyFans without Georgia’s consent.

He was convicted of voyeurism and of two counts of disclosing private sexual photos and films with intent to cause distress.

Former Love Island and TOWIE star Georgia appeared on Monday's (March 20) edition of Good Morning Britain's to chat to Susanna Reid and Ed Balls about her upcoming show where she'll tell her side of the story.

The Criminal Justice and Courts Act 2015 made it an offence to disclose private sexual photographs and films with the intent to cause distress and without consent.

She believes the requirement to prove intent should be removed.

Georgia, 28, said: "Violation is a good word. You feel extremely exploited and really hurt especially when you've known someone for a very long time.

"Even when a friend hurts you it's devastating so having to deal with that sort of betrayal and the scale of how widespread everything was, was a really devastating time for me."

"One of the biggest hurdles for me to overcome, and others, is the intent to cause distress.

"So it's to prove that someone knew you'd be distressed if they share these explicit videos or pictures but I just think its common sense obviously if someone does share that, it is a distress."

After sharing that just six per cent manage to get the perpetrator charged, Georgia continued: "Fundamentally, something is going on around the law for the ratio to be so off."

It comes after Georgia said Bear took her "innocent spark" when he posted the video online.

She claims "multiple men" approached her saying they had seen the private sex video before she discovered it had gone viral on the internet.

She is now calling for a law change to make it easier for victims to get justice.

She said: "When I saw it was on OnlyFans, it was the final straw for me.

"In a way, it took away an innocent sort of spark that I always had.

"I was a very trusting individual and I was always someone that saw the best in everything.

"When that happened, it really lowered my self-worth and it really lowered the way I value myself, especially in relationships."

Georgia added: "Ever since this happened to me, I became someone that victims reach out to – I get at least five women a day who want advice."
