While viewers have been enjoying watching former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan facing her fears once again in I’m a Celebrity South Africa, she’s been facing a different set of struggles at home, as she revealed on her Instagram Stories recently.
This has caused a bit of confusion, as some of the actress’s million followers have wondered how she can be in two places at once, but this special all-stars series of I’m A Celebrity has been pre-recorded.
This has left Helen – who played Rosie Webster in Coronation Street between 2000 and 2012 and again in 2017-2018 – to cope with the demands of being a mum to three young children.
In a series of extremely relatable posts, Helen shared that her youngest daughter Delilah, who is four, is currently going through a clingy phase.
‘Having a thing with Delilah at the moment where she just screamed and cries when I leave a room,’ she revealed.
‘She follows me everywhere in the house and I know it’s cute but it’s not as well. I wanted to go for a bath last night and she screamed the whole time. I still co-sleep with Delilah do any other mums feel me?’
Delilah isn’t the only one causing Helen grief, as two year-old Charlie has also taken up some behaviour that Helen is finding a bit of a challenge.
‘Got a thing with Charlie when he keeps head butting me,’ she said. ‘Also at the end of the day I feel touched out and feel for for when I’m a snappy witch anyone else?’
In an attempt to get a few moments of peace, Helen has had to resort to a desperate measure that many parents will find completely relatable.
‘Did lock myself in the toilet today for five minutes,’ she admitted, but added a laughing face and a heart emoji just in case we got too concerned.
It’s clear that Helen loves being a mum and she often shares pictures of herself and her adorable three children (oldest daughter Matilda is seven) on Instagram.
The pictures range from glossy posed photoshoots for magazines to more candid everyday shots, such as one in which Helen is holding Charlie, who is either yelling or crying, while his two sisters look like they’re thinking of getting up to mischief.

Helen has captioned this one ‘Chaos every day.’
Meanwhile, the actress has confounded expectations in her recent I’m A Celebrity appearance.
In her first trip to the jungle ten years ago, her terror and squeamishness at the bushtucker trials meant she was voted by the public to do seven trials in a row.
This time, she seems to have a new mindset and tackled the Newton’s Cradle challenge in the launch show without much fuss at all.
Just possibly compared with dealing with three young children, the challenges of the jungle might not be so frightening after all.
