Hollyoaks fans gobsmacked John Paul’s mystery tormentor exposed as family member

Hollyoaks have finally confirmed the identity of John Paul McQueen's secret tormentor.

The teacher has been received a threatening note in recent scenes after crashing a mini bus on a school trip.

Fans of the Chanel 4 soap are aware that John Paul's alcohol withdraw symptoms caused the accident following his recent drinking problem.

He tried covering this up by claiming that a bird flew towards the windscreen of the vehicle, distracting him from the road and causing him to lose control.

During Monday's first-look episode on E4, John Paul continued to confide in Prince McQueen (Malique Thompson-Dwyer), who found the threatening note at the McQueen's house.

It was clear that John Paul had no idea who the mystery sender was.

He spent the episode accusing various villagers including Prince himself.

Things went from bad to worse when John Paul found another message, this time written on the board at school.

The message read: "Quit your job, Mr McQueen."

Later at the pub, John Paul confided in Olivia Bradshaw (Emily Burnett) about feeling like he's letting his pupils down.

Olivia, who was badly injured in the accident, seemed sympathetic but a clip of her handwriting revealed that she's the one targeting John Paul.

Fans rushed to social media as Prince's partner was exposed as the mystery tormentor, with some proudly pointing out that they guessed correctly.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "OMG It's Olivia."

Another added: "So it was Olivia."

A third person posted: "I knew it was Olivia!!"

While a fourth social media user said: "Olivia is toxic."

A flashback scene towards the end of the episode revealed that Olivia discovered John Paul's secret last week when she overheard him talking to her fiancé Prince at the hospital.

At the time, John Paul was full of guilt for injuring Olivia and school student Freya in the crash.

Freya has been informed that she may never walk again following the bus crash caused by John Paul.

The teacher ended the episode by signing a resignation letter addressed to Sally St Claire and still oblivious to Olivia's desire for revenge.

Will Olivia be satisfied with John Paul's resignation or will she punish him further?

Hollyoaks airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 6.30pm followed by first-look episodes on E4 at 7pm
