A HOLLYOAKS star rushed to hospital amid a worrying health scare.

Ross Adams took a photo of the outside of a hospital wing and told fans he’d “had problems with his voice.”

The star, who plays the role of Scott Drinkwell in the Channel 4 soap opera, wrote: “I’ve had some problems with my voice for a while.

“It’s been worrying me a lot but today I went here and I can finally say that I’m fine.

“Just wanted to explain why I’ve been quiet.”

The 41-year-old actor was joined by his mum at the hospital, who he said accompanied him “for moral support.”

Hollyoaks’ Ross Adams thought he was dying after suffering from headaches

Back in 2018, Ross was convinced he had a brain tumour and after Googling his symptoms, he thought that he would be dead in a matter of months.

Opening up about his ordeal at the time, he told The Sunday People:  “I worried I wouldn’t be here in two months.

“On Google I read people with symptoms like mine were dead two weeks later. You start to catastrophise everything.”

However he learnt there was nothing physically wrong with him and he was in fact suffering from a form hypochondria called health anxiety.

He now has it more under control, saying: “I’ve got the tools to control it now. I’ve learned that while I’m healthy and happy, it’s good to live in the now rather than worrying what’s ahead.”

Ross lives in a stunning home with his husband Phil in Manchester.

Ross and Phil married in front of their nearest and dearest two years after getting engaged on a romantic holiday in New York in 2016.
