Tensions have been rising on Coronation Street this week as Todd Grimshaw and George Shuttleworth lock horns over his future at the undertakers.
Over the past few weeks, the hunk has become increasingly frustrated over his salary, with his boss declining to give him a pay rise despite Todd (played by Gareth Pierce) scooping the Young Funeral Director of the Year Award.
It didn’t take long before other businesses started showing an interest in the up-and coming director, but it appears as though George is doing everything he can to stop Todd from progressing.

This week, ITV viewers will see the pair embroiled in a sad feud over work when Troy, the director of rival funeral home RestEasy, offered him a job at a higher salary.
While his character faces a whole new challenge in his career, Daily Star has taken a deep dive inside the actor’s quiet life away from the cameras.

The ITV actor took over the role from Bruno Langley back in 2020 after the former star was axed from the soap for sexually assaulting two women in a Manchester nightclub.
Before Gareth landed his role on the long-running soap, he was previously known for playing Gavin Moss on the radio show The Archers.
The actor has shared the screen with many famous faces throughout his career including none other than Gavin and Stacey star and creator Ruth Jones.
The pair worked together back in 2014 on her comedy sitcom Stella when he took on the role of Lenny Mack.
He also boasts roles in Ordinary Lies, Mr Selfridge, Hinterland and Hollyoaks, and is also a well-known musician after he joined the band Hafaliadau = Equations back in 2008.
It is understood that the 40-year-old actor auditioned for the part on the ITV role from inside a cupboard in his house during lockdown.
But it didn’t take long before he formed firm friendships with his co-stars and even went on a cast camping trip together.
Taking to Instagram, he shared a photo of himself, Daniel Brocklebank, Julia Goulding, Sue Cleaver and Tony Maudsley outside their tents as they enjoyed some drinks in the sun.
Away from the cobbles, Gareth enjoys a happy family life with his doting wife Amy Lee Pierce and their five-year-old daughter.
The happy couple tied the knot back in April 2014 and now live happily together in the Manchester home.
The doting dad often shares sweet snaps of his loving family but chooses not to reveal his daughter’s face which he covers up with either emojis or by simply showing the back of her head.
He captioned the post: “Camping with the #Corrie famalamadingdong” as viewers shared their support online.
Most recently, the Welsh hunk shared a string of sweet snaps of the family-of-three over the summer holidays.
His daughter could be seen in paddling in the sea while his loving wife soaked up the sun on the sand.
The trio made the most of the glorious weather with fun-filled days out to the beach, trips on a steam train and travelling around the scenic countryside.

Fans were also treated to several topless photos from the beefcake as he soaked up the sun on holiday which he simply captioned the post: “Home for a bit” as fans showered him with compliments.
One user penned: “Ah lush photos! Have a lovely time all of you [smiley emoji]” as another echoed: “Looks class pal. Hope you and the family enjoyed [thumbs up emoji, smiling sunglasses emoji].
