AN ITV boss has responded to Dominos' scathing tweet about Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield amid their queue jump row.
Holly, 41, and Phil, 60, received huge backlash after they were accused of jumping the queue to see the Queen lying-in-state at Westminster Hall.
As well as fury from members of the public, a number of businesses used the opportunity to cash in with PR stunts.
Pizza brand Dominos was quick to jump on the bandwagon, tweeting: "Apologies to anyone waiting on their pizza, we've just received an order from Holly and Phil #ThisMorning."
Speaking at the Royal Television Society convention in London, Dame Carolyn McCall – CEO of ITV – today reassured fans that duo are safe after a petition to have them sacked hit more than 75k.
According to those in the audience, she also addressed the response from brands including Dominos.

Journalist Anita Singh tweeted: "ITV boss Carolyn McCall just revealed that ITV called Domino's to complain that this tweet wasn't funny, which just makes it more funny #RTSconvention."
Amid the backlash against Holly and Phil The London Dungeons added a new ticket option for those wanting to visit.
The much-loved attraction has dubbed it the pass for people who are "too good to queue" and said it costs the same price as a normal ticket – but it gives you immediate access without having to wait with "peasants".
A spokesperson said: "The Holly and Phil pass is here for a limited time only.

"If you’re too good to queue with the rest of the rabble and demand swift and immediate passage into London’s horrible history, then this is right up your alley.
"Don’t be making small talk with the measly patiently waiting plebs when you could be on a one-way path to the front of the queue!"
