The I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here campmates were left stunned as they found out that Jamie Lynn Spears had left the jungle for good.
Jamie left the camp due to medical reasons on Wednesday, 29 November, and the moment the campmates found out aired during tonight’s episode.
Josie read out a message which said: “Jamie Lynn has left the camp and will not be returning."
EastEnders legend Danielle Harold then said: "Camp for me is going to be really different without Jamie Lynn. She was one of my best friends in here. I'm really going to miss her, I am."
While Tony Bellew looked sad as camp absorbed the news.
Hosts Ant and Dec addressed the news at the start of Wednesday’s episode, as they confirmed that Jamie is “doing fine.”
Ant McPartlin told viewers: “We’ve got some breaking news for you, Jamie Lynn Spears has left the camp on medical grounds.”
Dec then added: “The good news is, Jamie Lynn is doing fine, and she goes away with our best wishes.
Earlier today, a spokesperson for the ITV show said: “Jamie Lynn Spears has left I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds. She's been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.”
Jamie had been struggling in the camp since the start as she missed her children at home, but after taking part in a couple of bushtucker trials, she appeared to have turned a corner.
However, last night's episode, Tuesday, 28 November, she began to really struggle again.
The 32 year old even tried to use the famous red phone box to ring home, but when it didn’t work, she took herself away from her campmates for a small period of time.
Jamie is the second celebrity to leave the camp in a matter of days, after food critic Grace Dent left due to medical reasons earlier this week.
At the time, a spokesperson for the show said: “Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike.”
After she left, she sent a letter to her fellow campmates which said: "My Dear campmates, I’m so sorry to let you down. I have left the camp for medical reasons. My heart is broken, I have loved and enjoyed getting to know you all.
“You’ve held me up and it’s been a pleasure being your friend through this experience. Leaving you all at this stage will be one of the saddest things in my life. I love you all. Your friend, Miss Grace Dent.”
