Following a year of waiting for a new series to hit our screens, the 2023 celebs have finally entered theI’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.
After the official line-up was revealed earlier this week, viewers at home saw the campmates split into individual groups as they prepared to make their way into the jungle. And, as per I’m A Celeb history, entering the jungle wasn’t as easy as it sounds and each contestant underwent some sort of challenge.
In the first trio, This Morning presenterJosie Gibson was joined by politician Nigel Farage and YouTuberNella Rose as they attempted to get as many tokens as possible from a camper van that was filled with snakes.
With each token equalling one minute, the tokens helped secure more time for their fellow celebrities,Sam Thompson,Danielle Harold, Grace Dent andFred Sirieix, to complete the next challenge.
With a total of nine tokens up for grabs, the trio managed to secure six tokens, and therefore six minutes, for their campmateswho were tasked with inching sideways along a skyscraper before sliding down a horizontal pole to unclip carabiners and release their star print flag.
Despite Sam realising he had a fear of heights while completing the challenge, all celebs were successful in their attempt and secured four stars.
Elsewhere, the final three celebrities to enter the jungle were JLS singer Marvin Humes, actor Nick Pickard and Jamie Lynn Spears, who is the sister of Britney Spears.
In order to secure their place in the jungle, the trio were required to enter via the show’s classic skydive. However, that wasn’t all for the final threewho were tasked with the first bushtucker trial of the series once their feet were on solid ground.
After Josie, Nella and Nigel secured seven tokens in yet another challenge, Nick, Jamie Lynn and Marvin were given seven minutes to complete the trial in the Temple of Doom.
As part of the challenge, Jamie Lynn and Marvin were required to correctly figure out a series of jungle related words while bugs were dropped onto them, while Nigel had to collect stars using his mouth.
All in all, the trio secured a full house of six stars. Combined with the four stars secured by Fred, Sam, Grace and Danielle, the campmates tucked into 10 meals for camp before Ant and Dec revealed that.
However, after a lovely meal of kangaroo, Ant and Dec revealed that, after a public vote, Nigel Farage and Nella Rose would be taking part in the next bushtucker trial, Jungle Pizzeria, on Monday 20 November.
