Last month, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May returned with their second Lockdown special of The Grand Tour. The series hit Amazon Prime Video on December 17, and viewers watched the trio go on another epic road trip. They started in the Welsh hills before finally reaching the English Channel. Throughout Carnage A Trois, the presenters faced many different challenges including mountain climbing, driving propellor powered cars and taking on a helicopter stunt.

However, speaking ahead of the Lockdown special, Jeremy discussed what fans could expect from the trio in the series.

He also addressed a change to the format of the programme after they managed to produce it during a pandemic.

“We’ll see how this one [series] is received, but there are plans to do something similar again,” the former Top Gear host admitted.

“But for now, we can’t wait to get back to doing more big foreign travel.”

He continued: “So, it’s tricky because everything’s so fluid at the moment.

“It takes six months to plan a foreign trip for us, and who’s to know what’s going to happen in six months’ time?”

Speaking about what it was like to film the latest series with his two pals, Jeremy said: “There’s plenty of falling over and bashing, but in between, there are moments when the three of us sit down and have sensible conversations.

“Also, the car race we have is the best we’ve ever done. Genuinely the best we’ve ever done.”

“The French are extremely good at making hot hatchbacks, but there’s some debate over which is the best,” the 61-year-old added.

The Grand Tour wouldn’t be complete without a few crashes and stunts involved.

Jeremy, who also has his own farming show Clarkson’s Farm, went on to recall a couple of stunts on the show.

“Yes, there are a couple of stunts,” he explained. “There’s the Citroën SM, which we had to sit back and drool at because it’s so beautiful. “

“There’s still plenty of us c***ing about,” he joked. If you’re genuinely interested in why the French are different, there are some interesting points made.”

The Clarkson’s Farm star will be back on Amazon soon for the second season of the hit docu-series.

The programme sees Jeremy alongside his co-star Kaleb Cooper attempt to run Diddly Squat Farm.

“It’s been a totally crazy ride,” Jeremy said about the series.

He continued: “I wanted to try and make it serious, and it’s completely unscripted.

“I never know what we’re doing in the morning when we start farming.

“But it has been extremely successful, and I’m extremely proud of it.

“I thought it would serve as a gentle disappointment to The Grand Tour fans, but everyone seems to like it.

“Little kids, grannies and farmers absolutely love it.”
