Kate Garraway gives update on husband Derek Draper
Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway will be replaced by Ranvir Singh after the star cancelled all her work commitments. Kate is sitting by her husband, Derek Draper, bedside as he fights for his life in the hospital after suffering a huge heart attack.
Kate and his family have kept a 24-7 vigil for Derek, who was struck down with Covid in 2020 and is still battling a number of health problems. The virus caused brain inflammation, kidney failure, and liver and pancreas damage.
The ITV star is also said to be preparing her children for a heartbreaking Christmas without their dad Derek at home.
Kate has taken a step back from her GMB hosting duties and will be replaced by Ranvir Singh on Thursday’s show.
Ranvir has been filling in for Lorraine Kelly this week but told viewers today “I’m getting up a bit earlier tomorrow because I’ll be bringing you Good Morning Britain.

One brain scan last year showed white patches, usually seen in patients with vascular dementia and he has since undergone a series of inconclusive lung tests and still has difficulty breathing unaided.
