Lorraine Kelly got quite the birthday treat during Tuesday’s live show when she was surprised with a puppy live on air.
However, no one was more excited than the little pooch who urinated all over the presenter as a special gift to mark Lorraine turning 62-years-old.
The tiny dog, Ruby, actually belonged to Lorraine’s daughter Rose and was clearly very excited to be reunited with the TV legend because who wouldn’t be?
As Ruby wriggled with joy after being brought out onto the set by special guest Rylan Clark, Lorraine grinned: ‘Aw and she’s done a wee happy wee.’
‘Aw isn’t that nice,’ said Rylan. ‘So have I!’
Regardless, Lorraine was delighted and told Rylan: ‘Thanks for bringing my baby because I miss her so much!’
Still, Lorraine presented the rest of the show with the same dress so it appears, at least we hope, she managed to dry herself off.
Before the accident, Rylan opened up to Lorranie about his recent split from husband Dan Neal, apologising for ‘scaring’ concerned fans of the It Takes Two presenter by taking a break from work and social media.
‘I wasn’t good, I’m not gonna lie. I think everyone knows that,’ he said. ‘You know I’m normally on telly every five minutes, I apologise after seeing my mug all the time.’
After taking four months off, the former X Factor star insisted it was just the break he needed.
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
