LOUISE Minchin and her family will appear in a new ITV documentary to detail the hell they endured after being targeted by a vile troll.
The ex-BBC Breakfast star said she, her husband and her two teenage daughters "felt like we were prisoners in our own home" after being targeted by a creep online.
Stalker Carl Davies bombarded Louise with abusive messages on Instagram – leaving the I'm a Celebrity star in a "constant state of anxiety".
In one message to Louise, he wrote: "Your daughter will definitely be raped" followed by their home address, the village they lived in and the cars that were in their driveway.
In December 2021, Louise’s stalker was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison and was also handed an indefinite restraining order.
The vile ex-soldier also targeted Louise's 19-year-old daughter, Mia.
She handled her mum's social media accounts and, during the campaign of harassment two years ago, read many of the abhorrent messages.
Now, for the first time, Mia will speak about her mum's ordeal – as well as her own – in a desperate bid to raise awareness about stalking.
'I WAS KIND OF TERRIFIED'
Speaking exclusively to ITV’s Tonight programme, she recalls how the stalking began: “I’m logged into mum's Instagram account and suddenly loads of messages started coming.
“They were all kind of just really offensive, calling us not very nice names and then they got much more graphic."
Mia revealed that she was resorted to "floods of tears" after the messages became more aggressive and threatening.
She added: "It was the kind of actions that he wanted to do against me and mum, which got really personal and they weren't nice to read at all.
“I was kind of terrified, all kind of shaking. I think my heart was beating really fast. I didn't sleep all night. The entirety of the next day I was in floods of tears.”
Almost one in five women and almost one in ten men over the age of 16 in the UK have experienced stalking.
