Married At First Sight Australia contestant Selin has caused uproar on amongst fans over her harsh comments towards her husband Anthony.
Anthony left the honeymoon a day early during the latest edition of the E4 dating show after he had a disagreement on a date with his new wife.
Selin and Anthony went on a pottery date and they jokingly put clay in each other’s faces, but there seemed to be a miscommunication as the atmosphere turned tense.
In the car on the way back home, the argument continued and the camera cut to their attempt at resolving the dispute.
Selin said that she felt like he “needed a lot” as he was emotionally vulnerable and called herself the victim, which angered viewers online.
Viewers on Twitter called out Selin for her blunt comments towards Anthony.
One viewer said: “So, Selin thinks it's not manly for a man to show his vulnerable side? W**, she's one of these people that make men bottle up their feelings, and for your information Selin, you are not the victim.”
“Selin trying to lie about what happened and calls herself the victim, what the actual f***. Get her off the show, saying: ‘I didn't do anything wrong’.”
Another said: “Cheering him up by calling him princess, are you sure? Selin’s toxic man idea is concerning.”
Selin then went to the dinner party with the intention of “getting everyone's perspective” on the situation with her husband.
At the dinner party, the contestants were clearly nervous to be back together and excited to see how all the matches get along.
Selin arrived at the party by herself and told the camera that she thinks that Anthony is “not how a man should act” and that she “can’t wait to tell everyone her story”: “He calls himself a gentleman, I don’t call that a gentleman.”
She told the other contestants about their pottery date and said that he “stormed off,” which the other women called “disrespectful”.
As the couples sat down at the dinner table to eat together, the experts assessed Selin and Anthony's body language.
As they sat next to each other, the experts said that Selin looked like she had "checked out" of her interest towards him.
Anthony was confronted by Selin's friends, which he described as a "firing line" due to the fact that they didn't know that she had been calling him names.
