NEWLY single Megan Barton Hanson is enjoying playing the field – trading in Dele Alli for another footballer.

I can reveal the Love Island bombshell has swiftly distanced herself from the Spurs midfielder and is now dating former Dover Athletic player Jaydon Gibbs.

He is the twin brother of England and West Brom ace Kieran.

The pair hit it off after being introduced by mutual pals earlier this month.

And Jaydon then invited her to sit ringside beside him at the James DeGale vs Chris Eubank Jr boxing match at London’s O2 Arena last night.

Pals say Jaydon seems a better match for Megan than Dele, who she seemed ready to romance after her painful split from Love Island ex Wes Nelson last month.

A source said: “Megan is enjoying a bit of male attention again and felt genuinely excited when Jaydon asked her out — something she hasn’t really felt since the break-up with Wes, which left her in pieces.

“Jaydon is a real gent and exactly her type whereas she wasn’t that into Dele because she felt he was too soon out of his long-term relationship.

“It’s early days and all just fun at the moment, but she’s still intrigued to see where this goes.”

London lad Jaydon also played for Aldershot Town before ditching footie to become an entrepreneur.

Megan ended her six-month romance with Wes after a tumultuous few weeks in which she accused his Dancing On Ice skating partner Vanessa Bauer of purposely breaking them up in order to stir up rumours of a romance.

This week, The Sun revealed Dele had attempted to make an early play for Megan, with the pair swapping numbers after a night out at London club Tape.

But Megan believed that Dele was too soon out of his two-and-a-half- year relationship with lingerie model Ruby Mae.

It looks like Wes has been truly relegated now.

Cheryl waves cry bye

CHERYL TWEEDY burst into tears backstage as she signed off as a judge on The Greatest Dancer last night.

As she saw her act into the grand final, she told fans: “I’m so incredibly proud of Harry and Eleiyah and so honoured to have been part of their experience.

“I’m going to go and have a cry.”

But I have some news that should cheer her up.

Despite it losing out to ITV’s The Voice in the ratings war, Beeb bosses yesterday confirmed they have recommissioned the show for a second series.

But whether Cheryl and her co-judges Matthew Morrison and Oti Mabuse will return is yet to be decided.

White idea for Kendall and Dua

KENDAL JENNER will have been relieved to have slipped into this slinky outfit – after turning up at Versace’s Milan Fashion Week show in almost identical gear as Brit singer Dua Lipa.

The pair wore matching white denim suits covered in the Versace name at the event on Friday.

Also out representing for the Brit boys was model Naomi Campbell’s toyboy Liam Payne.

He proved he’s been welcomed into her inner fold as he posed with her close pal Idris Elba.

While Naomi failed to make a show, she took to her Instagram account to share a throwback clip from 1991 when she walked the catwalk for the Versace Haute Couture collection.

I told last week how she has been keen to keep some distance between her and Liam after warning him she’s not ready for anything too serious.

Hopefully Idris won’t mind playing mediator if it all goes pear-shaped.

The presenter who is dating comedian Iain Stirling, has joined stars including Joanna Lumley, Una Healy, and Kimberly Wyatt to model the limited-edition designs.

The Boyzone star closed out the band’s farewell tour by ordering Champagne to his hotel room at 10am – and again at 3pm and 7pm – during his stay at Nottingham’s Mour Hotel with wife Storm.

A source said: “When asked what Champagne he wanted, Ronan said he wasn’t fussy and just wanted the cheapest they did.”

Matt: Call time on X Factor

FORMER Xtra Factor host Matt Richardson has told Simon Cowell it’s time to let X Factor die.

Matt, who returns to screens with new E4 show The Hangover Games on Tuesday, says the last time it was worth watching was when he featured on the spin-off alongside Caroline Flack in 2013.

He said: “It feels like they’ve been flogging this dead horse for the past couple of years and they won’t accept it’s better for everyone if they put a bolt gun to its head.”

Matt’s new show sees him challenge hungover Brits to compete in tasks based on their antics from the night before, like getting ingredients for a full English without paying for them.

He said: “I had a sick bucket by the stage – the smell of the things we did!” Best avoid watching before breakfast.

BROOKLYN BECKHAM’s relentless Insta brags about his new love Hana Cross are hard enough to stomach – so spare a thought for his ex Chloe Grace Moretz.

Her pal Meghan Trainor is going all-out to take Chloe’s mind off the wannabe photographer’s new romance.

Meghan wants to set the actress up with pal Harry Styles – a move that got Chloe’s thumbs-up.

Speaking at the Poppy club in Hollywood, Meghan said: “I’d love to set-up Harry with Chloe.

THE West End is about to get a Chic new makeover.

The smiliest man in showbiz, Nile Rodgers – who has sold more than 500million albums and 75million singles – is bringing his incredible life story to the stage . . . with the aid of Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The Chic star met with the musical master in London last Thursday to discuss plans for a huge, multi- million pound collaboration.

And Nile admits he has already picked out the actors who will play him at different stages in his life.

Nile let slip about the secret meeting at his Brit Awards viewing party in aid of the Brit School and We Are Family Foundation at London hotel The Ned on Wednesday.

He said he put initial plans to produce his own musical on hold after finding the process too gruelling.

But he has revved up the machine after getting the Cats creator on board.

Nile said: “I thought I’d be able to write with no problem on the road-trips but the truth is I’m usually asleep or catching up with business.

“Writing is a very solitary job and to write something as detailed as a show, especially my life . . . ”
