Netflix Just Announced "Tiger King" Season 2 and It's Coming Waaay Sooner Than You Think

Tiger King fans rejoice. Not only will Netflix be bringing the true-crime docuseries back for a second installation, but Tiger King 2 is slated to hit the streamer sometime before the end of the year. Netflix confirmed the news in a trailer titled The Home of True Crime | Slate Announcement on Thursday.

Tiger King 2 was only one of several documentaries featured in the announcement. Other shows listed included: The Puppet Master: Hunting the Ultimate Conman, The Tinder Swindler, Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King, and Bad Vegan.

There’s no official word on who’s going to be rejoining the cast. Breakout star Carole Baskin has made it clear that she was not pleased with her portrayal in the first installation, so there’s no telling if she’ll be involved this time around.

Released during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tiger King became a viral sensation, spawning hilarious memes and a Peacock miniseries with Joe Exotic. The film chronicled his rise from a popular zookeeper to his run for political office and subsequent felony conviction.
