Nicola McLean joins Daily Star as I’m A Celeb expert with ‘no filter’ opinions

The new series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is in full swing and who better than a former contestant to give their hot take on the drama?

Nicola McLean was a favourite on the show in 2008, well known for her busty bikini shots and holding the "childish" David Van Day after his questionable antics.

With 258k Instagram followers to her name, former glamour model Nicola has a loyal fanbase, carving out a career in reality TV and modelling.

The former Daily Star Page 3 girl, 40, has landed a new gig with us as the Daily Star's newest columnist, delivering her unfiltered take on all things I'm A Celeb over the weeks to come.

Nicola's first column will be out on Friday and will reveal exactly what she thought of the first week.

She will also be joining us on a weekly Facebook Live interview each week, with the first one taking place on Monday, to discuss more I'm A Celeb gossip.

On Monday, she revealed that she believed Emmerdale's Danny Miller had a "gameplan" and thought he was acting up to the cameras to get more airtime.

She revealed her suspicions of the actor’s true intentions and accused him of complaining about sickness to convince to the public to vote him in for the first eating challenge.

Nicola stated: “I’m not sure whether Danny is already playing a game because I cannot see if you are that sort of.. if you gag a lot, if you’re sick, you’ve already been sick twice in the helicopter and swallowed it, why would you carry on saying this, of course, you know you’re gonna get the eating trial.

“I don’t know if he wanted the eating trial cause it is the best trial to get.

"It is disgusting but it is the best one cause it’s the one people remember. I’m not upset if he’s playing the game but I can't see that’s he’s not."

Stay tuned to hear Nicola's take on the Welsh Castle drama – it's set to be a fiery one!

I'm A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV and ITVHub at 9pm
