This Morning staff fume after NTA party snub

Backroom staff at ITV's This Morning have been overlooked for invites to tonight's glamourous National Television Awards.

Show bosses are said to be "slimming down" the guestlist, with only on-screen talent getting an invite to the star-studded evening.

Sources reckon bosses have cut back because they fear the Philip Schofield scandal could put the skids under This Morning’s chances of landing Best Daytime Show for the 13th year in a row.

Brits snub Harry and Meghan as couple fail to earn NTA nomination

Prince Harry’s efforts to break into the world of TV have flopped with Britain’s viewing public.

The former Royal quit The Firm in January 2020 for a new life in America, making TV shows and podcasts with wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

But TV viewers back in the UK don’t think much of his work on the small screen – instead preferring Meghan’s former foe Piers Morgan.

Shock docuseries Harry & Meghan, for Netflix, failed to even make the longlist for this year’s National Television Awards.

ITV bosses fear cast of hit show will be met with a wall of boos at this year's NTAs

ITV bosses are worried that if I’m A Celebrity wins an NTA the moment will be overshadowed by a torrent of boos for Matt Hancock.

The former Health Secretary resigned in 2021 after breaking his own lockdown social distancing rules by getting caught in a clinch with his then aide and now girlfriend, Gina Coladangelo.

Matt, 44, has been invited to the ceremony at London’s 02 Arena with other campmates and has confirmed he will be there.
