Obsession kicks off with surgeon William (played by Richard Armitage) meeting his son Jay’s (Rish Shah) flirtatious girlfriend Anna (Charlie Murphy) at a party. There is an instant connection and the pair quickly embark on a steamy affair where they have BDSM sex in the comfort of her friend’s flat which she house-sits while she is away. Things get even more complicated when Jay proposes to Anna and William is raging with jealousy, addicted to the mysterious woman. Obsession on Netflix ending explained
Obsession came out today, Thursday, April 13, dropped all four episodes on Netflix on Thursday, April 13.
The first three see the passionate fling with Anna and William continue, despite Jay getting down on one knee and promising the normal life she has always wanted.
Jay has avoided asking Anna too many personal questions in the past as she prefers to keep certain things private.
But he becomes suspicious of what she is up to when he isn’t around and so Jay decides to follow her.
Jay is led to Anna’s friend Peggy’s (Pippa Bennett-Warner) flat and is stunned when he goes inside to see his dad having sex with her.
Shocked by the betrayal, Jay frantically leaves the flat and ends up slipping and falling over the balcony.
Will screams after his son, running down the stairs naked to be by Jay’s side.
He cradles Jay’s dead body, sobbing, until the ambulance arrives to assist with the incident.
Ingrid (Indira Varma) – Will’s wife – is heartbroken when she finds out Jay is dead and the reason why he fell off the balcony.
She starts self-harming as a result of the pain Will has caused her and their family and tells him at the funeral that he should have killed himself.
Anna’s mum (Marion Bailey) then shows up and tells them that her daughter has run away and Will confesses how he still needs her.
Ingrid insists they will never see each other again and doesn’t return for the rest of the finale.

More details of Anna’s childhood are also revealed in the last episode of Obsession.
Her brother Aston died by suicide after he confessed his love for his sister which she didn’t reciprocate.
What makes the situation even more tragic is the fact Aston was raping Anna with her mother’s knowledge and she did nothing to stop it.
Fast-forward to present day and Anna is on her honeymoon without Jay and Will tracks her down to look after her.
Will tells her he doesn’t regret Jay’s death because he wanted to be with her.
However, she tells Will it’s over between them and to never come looking for her again.
In the final few moments, Anna is seen with her friend Peggy before going to therapy to get the help she desperately needs.
