Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has shared all about the unexpected meeting that began the hugely-popular Channel 5 TV show.
Amanda and her family, which includes husband Clive and their nine children, have been at the centre of the series, based at Ravenseat Farm.
After five series of their ups and downs, the programme is still as loved as ever. But if it wasn't for a chat over a cup of tea, it may never have come to fruition.
In a new interview, the Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda, 47, went into detail about the encounter.
Speaking to The Guardian, Amanda explained: "It began with making cups of tea. A simple, simple thing.
"What do people want who come to visit us? They’re coming on foot, they’re on the coast-to-coast footpath, there’s 16,000 of them walking through the farm every year.
"They want a cup of tea and a conversation."
The star went on to say that an opportunity came up through one particular conversation as she met someone "scouting for a TV programme".
"That’s where it all began," the brunette mum-of-nine added.
Amanda is now also star of BBC show Winter Walks, which recently released its second series.
As well as her enormous brood, Amanda also has to run a 2,000-acre farm and look after over 900 sheep every day.
The star went on to say that despite her very full and incredible life spawning a wonderfully entertaining TV show, she's never expected her children to follow in her farming footsteps.
"I've never said it's the be-all and end-all," Amanda noted, going on to share her hopes for the children to "run" and then return one day like a "boomerang".
It comes as Amanda recently spoke about a "rocky patch" with her and husband Clive.
Despite their struggles over the months, the family appeared more united and happy than ever during the season finale.
