Park Soo Ryun dead: Star of Disney+ drama Snowdrop dies aged 29 after falling down stairs as tributes pour in | The Sun

THE star of the Disney+ drama Snowdrop Park Soo Ryun tragically died after falling down a flight of stairs.

Tributes have poured in for the 29-year-old actress who fell down a set of stairs while returning home in South Korea on Sunday afternoon.




She was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment but despite desperate attempts to revive her, she was pronounced dead.

The tragic accident reportedly happened just a day before her scheduled performance on Jeju Island.

Her devastated family has decided to donate her organs saying they would be "comforted" knowing her heart would go to someone who needed it.

Park's heartbroken mum told Soompi: "Only her brain is unconscious, and her heart is still beating.

"There must be someone who desperately needs [organs]. As her mother and father, we will be able to live comforted [by the thought that her heart] has gone to someone and is beating."

The woman's funeral wake was held at Suwon Hospital of Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.

Park made her debut in 2018 with the musical Il Tenore and appeared in musicals such as Othello, Finding Mr. Destiny, and The Day We Were In Love. 

The 29-year-old had appeared in the Korean drama Snowdrop which aired from December 2021 to January 2022.

Park had the role of a university student in the 1980s-set series which starred Blackpink singer Jisoo and actor Jung Hae-in.

The actress had shared photos with other cast members of the last day of filming for Snowdrop on her Instagram account.

Another Snowdrop actress died in January 2022 at the age of 29.

Kim Mi-soo played a history student on the show and the cause of her death was not revealed.
