Phillip Schofield ‘plotting television comeback’ as talks begin with ITV rival

Phillip Schofieldis reportedly in the process of orchestrating his return to the telly, engaging in ongoing conversations about a potential new television project and a profitable book contract to recount his journey.

The 61-year-old former beloved This Morning host reportedly had discussions with a high-ranking executive from Talk TV, a rival channel of ITV, regarding a potential position on the network this month.

This connection is said to have been initiated when pal Vanessa Feltz, who works on the channel, reached out to him to gauge his interest.

Additionally, he is said to have engaged in a casual dialogue with book publishers Hodder & Stoughton, who approached him recently.

After his outrageous revelation back in May, regarding his involvement with an ITV runner his twenties, Phillip acknowledged that his professional journey in broadcasting was at an end.

However, insiders have reportedly suggested that the morning show star might have successfully navigated through the challenging period.

As Phillip was observed departing a dinner with Vanessa, the 61-year-old Talk TV presenter, at the Little Bird restaurant in Chiswick, West London, she reportedly utilised this occasion to discuss the virtues of the channel, which is spearheaded by Piers Morgan.

The dinner marked the disgraced broadcaster’s initial public appearance since June.

A source toldThe Mirror: "Phil has really kept his head down since he left This Morning.

“Losing his entire career in a matter of weeks hit him hard, and he needed time to recover.

“Even now, everything is still very raw for him.”

They continued: “But in the last few weeks he has begun to entertain offers and consider what his next steps might be.

“When he met with Vanessa earlier this month, she suggested a conversation with Piers about Talk TV and he was open to that conversation.

“Phil spent so long alongside Holly on the This Morning sofa that it’s difficult for him to imagine himself on another platform, and he is not expected to sign with anyone else in the immediate future.

A separate source claimed that Phil has also been approached by a number of book publishers to release a tell-all memoir about his affair scandal.

However it's reported that he is waiting to hear what his family thinks before he makes a decision.

Having hosted the popular ITV program for over two decades, Phillip faced the collapse of his illustrious television career three months ago following his admission of lying to bosses and co-star Holly Willoughby about the “unwise but not illegal” affair with the young runner.
