Ranvir Singh’s shocking loo confession leaves GMB viewers speechless

Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh has left viewers in a state of shock following her strange on-air toilet confession.

In the episode, Good Morning Britain put a focus on reservoir water levels and taps running dry.

Ranvir, 45, who replaced regular host Susanna Reid in Thursday’s episode of the show, 15 June, shared some of her hacks for how she saves water with co-host Ben Shephard.

She said: “I don’t know what we were talking about last year but I said, in our house, if it’s a wee we don’t flush it during the day.

“If there’s no people – if it’s just us at home. No we don’t.

“And then it was interesting because a couple of my friends said, ‘that’s a bit weird but we have stopped doing that as well.

“Because as you hear… just flushing the loo

“It is a sort of change of thinking, it’s something we take for granted which we think is always going to be there.

Ranvir’s comments left fans shocked, with many taking to social media to voice their concerns about how she saves water.

One posted: “Ranvir’s house must stink of p**s in this hot weather…”

While another added: “Erm, yeah I’m not doing that Ranvir.”

And a third commented: “Now she’s telling us not to flush the sh**tter”.

It comes as Ranvir recently shared how she had been left heartbroken after ‘giving up everything’ for ITV and leaving her job at the BBC.

In the Sliding Doors podcast, Ranvir said: “I had a very secure job with BBC job with a pension and everything.

“I got headhunted to go to ITV. So I give up this whole secure life at the BBC and my friends and my life in Manchester to move to London, essentially, for a contract.

“It was a two-year contract. But I always remember being in the newsroom at the BBC and looking up at the little television and thinking, ‘I want to know what it’s like to be on there [national TV].”

But after ditching her BBC role for regional news, Ranvir almost lost her job at ITV.

She explained: “I’m there, 15 months into this job. The programme gets a whole rebrand and I’m not part of their plans.

“I found out at 10 o’clock and by 10.30 am an email had gone out.”

Ranvir explained that while she was in the park in tears while looking after her son, she received an important phone call.

She said: “There’s me crying in the park with my little son and my phone rings and it’s John Stapleton – a long term GMTV presenter.

“He told me not to complain, carry on turning up and to do my job.

Less than two months later she presented the News at Ten, before then going on to host GMB and standing in for Lorraine Kelly on her show.
