Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley has teased that the ITVBe reality show will be replacing Dawn Ward with a big new character in time for the next series.
Tanya’s on-off nemesis Dawn announced she had quit last December, saying she had had a great run but wanted to focus on her family.
Explaining that she saw the decision coming before it was officially announced, Tanya, 37 said in an exclusive interview with new magazine: “Me and Dawn haven’t spoken for nearly a year, but I wish her all the best.”

And Tanya’s already looking to the future, revealing: “Every time we lose a big character, we always get one or two new ones. I think that’s definitely in the pipeline.”
Pushed further on who could be ruffling feathers in Cheshire soon, Tanya continued: “We never know! It’s all kept very hush hush. We only find out on camera.”
And Tanya has promised there will be guaranteed fireworks when the show returns, thanks to her castmates, including last series’ newbie Lystra Adams.

Opening up about their close relationship both on and off screen, Tanya credited Lystra with putting a spring back in her step when it came to the series.
The mum-of-four, who is married to footballer Phil, 35, said: “She’s given me a new lease of life during filming and I absolutely adore her.”
“We’ve just got such a strong connection, we’re like best friends,” Tanya added.

But that’s not the only person Tanya was happy to see back on our screens after co-star Lauren Simons made her big return.
Tanya explained: “Lauren is just a big ball of happy energy. She doesn’t take anything too seriously. She’s really good to have around.”
This comes after long-running cast member Dawn announced the news she would be leaving the show on her social media account.
Taking to Instagram last year, Dawn said: “Having been on the real housewives of Cheshire for almost 7 years & 12 seasons, I’ve had the most incredible journey, not just me, but my whole family.”
She continued: “Everyone who knows me knows I’m all about my family, so I’ve decided that after 12 seasons on the show I would like to concentrate on projects with them.”
The star went on to thank the cast and crew, as well as the viewers, for their support and said that she would be watching series 13 and beyond.
