Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) suffered a panic attack in Wednesday’s (May 31) Coronation Street after finding out that Karen, Justin’s (Andrew Still) sister, was on the stalker’s side all along.
Ryan met Karen in the pub this week, as he caught her staring at the scars on his face.
Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) pointed out that Karen had shown her kindness and felt terrible for everything her brother done.
This annoyed Carla (Alison King), as she argued that Ryan deserves the apology more than Daisy as Justin’s actions changed his appearance forever.
As an argument descended, Karen was observing the entire thing, taking in every single word when Carla and Ryan said that Daisy is manipulative and ruined his relationship with Alya (Sair Khan) a few years ago.
Tonight, Karen used that to her advantage and passed on the information to Justin’s lawyer, but she then revealed her entire plan to Ryan out of guilt.
It was clear that Justin had successfully manipulated Karen, but all this did was terrify Ryan.
He rushed back to the flat, slammed the door and started panicking, leaving Carla and Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) wondering why he hadn’t turned up to court.
With the trial delayed because of Ryan’s refusal to turn up, Daisy arrived at the flat to try and change his mind.
Daisy was struggling to help Ryan, as he believed that Justin’s lawyer will paint Daisy as a ‘manipulative cow’ and make it seem as though the acid attack was part of her plan, making Justin seem innocent.
A desperate Daisy really needed Ryan’s help. Away from the acid attack, Justin stalked her for months on end and she knows that if he was to get away with it, he could well come back to the cobbles and start the process all over again.
Ryan was aware of this but told Daisy that the last time he stood up for her – the acid attack – his entire world changed.
Tearfully telling Daisy that he thinks he’s done enough for her now, will Ryan change his mind about attending court?
