Emmerdale star Samantha Giles has given her opinion on Meena Jutla’s (Paige Sandhu) reign of terror storyline – and she wants it to end.

Samantha plays Bernice Blackstock in the ITV soap and was only really involved in Meena’s storyline at the very start – when she found Leanna’s body after Meena pushed her from the Humpback Bridge.

Currently, Meena is behind bars after DS Rogers successfully proved she was responsible for Leanna, Ben and Andrea’s deaths (plus many, many other crimes).

As Meena’s plea hearing approaches, the plot is continuing to take many twists and turns but for Samantha, she’s hoping it won’t be long until Meena is sentenced and her final scenes air.

‘[Discussing the Meena storyline] That’s about to come to a head… I think it is’, she said while appearing in the latest episode of the Wonderbirds YouTube show.

‘It’s terrible, I’m in the show and I don’t really ever watch it, which is awful. You know what it’s like, it’s that time when you’re either putting the kids to bed or you’re getting dinner or whatever, but I know that it’s very close to coming to a head.

‘I think it’s probably timely – lots of people have said that they’ve enjoyed it, but you know, come on, it’s time for it to end.’

Also in the episode, Samantha spoke about her use of magic and how she feels she met her husband in another life.

‘It was weird really’, she explained.

‘Because I was this man actually, and I’d gone to work on this fairground, and the weird thing is it was before I’d met my husband, but I looked like my husband. I had black curly hair and the woman that I was marrying, if you like, looked like me now.

‘So when I met my husband, I had this feeling of meeting him when I saw him – “I know you, I’ve met you before”. So it was almost as if we’d looked like each other in another life.’
