For the episode airing on Saturday, May 7, Benedict Cumberbatch is hosting for a second time.
He hosted for the first time years ago on November 5, 2016, with musical guest Solange Knowles.
While Benedict takes over as host, Canadian rock band Arcade Fire will be performing.

Who has previously hosted SNL in 2022?
Saturday Night Live returned on January 15, with all-new skits, hosts, and musical guests.
Former SNL cast member, Will Forte, 51, returned as a host for the first time on January 22, alongside musical guest, Måneskin.
Forte hasn't appeared on SNL in 12 years.
The Italian rock band, Måneskin, made their SNL debut with their hit song I Wanna Be Your Slave and a cover of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons' song, Beggin.

On the January 29 episode, SNL introduced Willem Dafoe who made his SNL hosting debut with Katy Perry as the musical guest.
Dafoe is recognized for his starring roles in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Platoon, John Wick, the first Spider-Man trilogy, and Aquaman.
This was Perry's fourth time performing on SNL with previous appearances in 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2017.
For the April 9 broadcast, Jake Gyllenhaal hosted while Camila Cabello was the musical guest.
Jake was promoting his film, Ambulance, which opened that weekend.
On April 16, Lizzo appeared on the sketch series for a second time.
Although it was her second appearance, it was her first time actually hosting.
In December 2019, Lizzo was the musical guest while Eddie Murphy guest hosted.
