Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) are set to be rocked by a face from the past in upcoming EastEnders scenes, as a massive week kicks off.
As Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) returns to Albert Square, Sharon and Phil are shocked when he wanders into the Queen Vic on the hunt for Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins).
The trio didn’t leave things on the best of terms, as Ian fled Walford in 2021 after being poisoned by Sharon – a plan which Phil was also in on.
Following his departure, Ian has spent the past few months living in France alongside Cindy, who has been under witness protection and therefore unable to return to London.
However, she was recently alerted to the fact that her witness protection is over and she is safe to go back to her old life, should she so wish.

After several months, Cindy is finally set to take the plunge and head back to Albert Square in search of son Peter (Thomas Law), who had gone over to help half-brother Bobby (Clay Milner Russell).
Ian isn’t keen on the idea, and quickly jumps on a plane after her, in order to get her back to France before anyone sees her.
Unfortunately for Ian, Cindy soon comes face to face with husband George Knight (Colin Salmon), and the pair sneak off for a very intense discussion.
As Ian tries to track her down, he bumps into Sharon for the first time since her murder attempt.
In the hours that follow, he tries his best to avoid both her and Phil, and it soon becomes clear that Phil wants Ian gone.
Sharon, however, wants to try and make amends, and soon plucks up the courage to talk to her ex-husband.
Will she be able to make things right, or will Ian struggle to forgive his former best friend?
