Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) holds Billy (Jay Kontzle) and Dawn (Olivia Bromley) at gunpoint on a remote viaduct in upcoming episodes of Emmerdale, and forces them to play a twisted game.

As she points the gun at the pair – who were married only that day in joyful scenes – she tells Billy they’re going to play a little game. He can either save himself or Dawn, and the other person will be shot. She says if Billy refuses to decide, she’ll kill them both.

Billy tells Dawn that he would take a bullet for her.

As Jay Kontzle explained, it’s a simple choice for Billy, who couldn’t cope if Dawn died, and he’d also factor in how Dawn’s son Lucas would feel.

’Dawn’s the love of his life and he’d be absolutely lost,’ he says. ‘The biggest heartbreak for him would be if Lucas was left without a mum. I don’t think he could cope with that. Whereas if Billy died Lucas would still have Dawn and still have a biological dad as well. So the person to go would be Billy because he wouldn’t want that to happen to Dawn at all.’

As Billy makes his choice, Meena points her gun and fires. Is Billy dead? And if he is, will Meena really spare Dawn?
