The Chase fans were left astonished as one contestant listed off the shocking amount of accidents he had been through to presenter Bradley Walsh.
Colin joined three other hopefuls in a bid to try their hand at winning a top cash prize against one of the show’s brainiac Chasers.
Bradley introduced the four competitors and up first was Johnathan, who told the host that he owned four hamsters with his partner Catherine.
He admitted that he would use the prize money towards an engagement ring and went up against Chaser Jenny Ryan.
He successfully made it through the cash builder and the head to head round, making it safely back to the panel with the other contestants.
Bradley then welcomed Colin to the show and asked him about his life, job and hobbies.
Colin, who works in life insurance, said that his job is “ironic” considering the amount of accidents he has had.
He told Walsh: “I’ve been stuck in a lift in the Imperial War Museum, I’ve had a level crossing barrier fall on my head, I’ve had the ceiling fall in at work, I’ve been hit by a cow, I’ve broken my wrist whilst coming out of a station and had two car crashes, even though I can’t drive.”
A gobsmacked Bradley’s jaw hit the floor as his fellow contestants laughed while he listed off his blunders.
The presenter took a moment to register what he had just heard before moving on to the head to head round.
Fans took to Twitter to share their collective humour over his unfortunate luck.
One viewer wrote: “Expecting Colin to get electrocuted when he presses the buzzer!”
Another said that they thought he would be “fun on a night out” while another simply said “poor Colin”.
“Colin on The Chase seems like a funny bloke,” tweeted another fan.
He faced Chaser Jenny Ryan, who affectionately called him “Calamity Colin” before they went head to head.
She offered him a low prize of minus £3,000 and a high offer of £68,000, of which he decided to stick with his current winnings.
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm
