The Chase viewers gobsmacked as 'EastEnders legend' makes game show debut

VIEWERS of The Chase were left doing a double take after a contestant bore an uncanny resemblance to EastEnders legend June Brown.

Fiona appeared on Thursday episode ready to take on The Chaser – despite her enthusiasm fans couldn't help but comment on her likeness to soap character Dot Cotton.

Eagle-eyed viewers took to Twitter in their droves as they commented on Fiona being June's doppelgänger.

One viewer wrote: "Go on Dot Cotton going high on #TheChase."

"Dot Cotton on #TheChase?" another penned. A third asked: "Is that Dot Cotton on the The Chase?"

Another viewer sarcastically joked about the amount of memes and images of the actress that appeared online after Fiona's appearance.

They wrote: "Hope somebody posts a Dot Cotton picture. #TheChase."

Aside from being a Dot Cotton doppelgänger, viewers watched as Fiona decided to "go big or go home" as she took on Chaser Shaun Wallace's high offer of £45,000.
