THE Greatest Dancer will return for a second series, it has been announced.

THE BBC have commissioned Simon Cowell's Syco to produce another edition of the show that features Cheryl, Oti Mabuse and Matthew Morrison as dance captains.

It is not yet known if Cheryl, Oti or Matthew will return to the show next year.

The second series of The Greatest Dancer will again feature a host of new dancing talent from across the world as they take to the stage to give performances to transform their lives.

Kate Phillips, Controller BBC Entertainment, said: "We wanted a big joyful show that celebrated extraordinary and memorable dancers of all ages and from all backgrounds and that’s exactly what we got.

"Everyone worked so hard on the show and we can’t wait to go again and see who will manage to open our magnificent mirror!"


 

Nigel Hall, Global Head of Television for Syco Entertainment, aded: "The Greatest Dancer is a joyous, uplifting and exciting show.

"We have loved making this first series. We are absolutely delighted the programme will return to screens on BBC One in 2020 – and are looking forward to continuing our working relationship with the BBC."

The competition is open to anyone from seven years old with no upper age limit.
